Native Uniques

Hi, I'm Samantha Dum (Barnes) - the hands, heart, and beads behind Native Uniques.

This Journey began about 15 years ago with a single thread and curiosity. I taught myself how to bead after finding a beginner's beading book at an auction service ran by my grandmother, Auction's by Mary. That book opened a door I didn't know I needed - and from that moment on, beading became more than just a craft. It became a way to connect with my heritage, to find peace, and to create beauty that tells a story.
Every piece you see here is handcrafted by me, bead by bead, with intention and care. My inspiration comes from the land I love, the traditions I cherish, and the belief that handmade work carries a unique spirit - one that can't be replicated.

I'm proud of my Native American roots, and it's important to me that my work honors that part of who I am. You'll find that influence in the patterns, colors, and stories woven into my designs. But more than that, I hope you'll feel the meaning behind each piece - a quiet strength, a touch of resilience, and a whole lot of love.
Whether you're shopping for something bold, delicate, or deeply personal, thank you for choosing to support Native Uniques. Your support helps me continue to do what I love and allows me to share a part of myself with you.
From my heart to your hands - one bead at a time.

Warmly, Samantha
